My New and Improved Hairs!

These are my new hairs.

(I guess technically they are my old hairs, just part of them got cut off, but I prefer to call them my new ones.)

They are way way way way way better!

I heart short hairs!

P.S. Jen is the greatest cutter of hairs ever! I heart her tons!

My Hairs!

These are my hairs.

They are far too long.

I will be cutting them tomorrow. WOOT!

Say goodbye hairs!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

My dearest sissy Skater-tater has season tickets to a minor league team. The Orem Owlz. They super freaking awesome!

Because my sister is super freaking awesome as well sometimes she lets me go to these glorious games with her. It is such a great time! This week I went to my first game of the season and we had such a great time we went back a second time the next day.

I love the ballpark!

P.S. Katie is always lame in the first pictures she takes. :)

P.P.S. The only thing about the ballpark I do not like is left handed batters' foul balls. They come straight at my face and bring back all my darn PTSD related to baseball. Lame!

Random Picture of the Day!

This is across the street from my house. I asked him if I could take a picture and he posed.

Love it!

We Are Excellent - At Least Grandma Is

On July 24 every year they have this little pioneer festival in the park by our house. Mostly we just go to check it out and visit grandma in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers museum and then we leave. Late last night we found out the grandma would be getting some kind of award - though we didn't know what award - and that we should go on over to the park for a ceremony.

She got the Mayor's Award of Excellence!

She is pretty much the greatest lady ever and she totally deserved it! Congrats Grams!

You Go Grams!

Taggy, Waggy, Pudding and Pie!

I was tagged by my friend, Danielle to list 6 unimportant things about me. Then I will tag 6 people at then end of my post. Reading Danielle's 6 unimportant things really made me laugh and reminded me of really dumb things (a.k.a OCD things) that I do too.

6 Unimportant things about Me

1. I swallow gum. I chew gum that I think tastes yucky just so I won't swallow it.

2. My closet is organized first by type of clothing (pajama's, pants, shirts, etc.), then by color, then by length of sleeve and/or pant leg. I also hang dry most of my clothes. I think clothing is the only thing that I am truly OCD about.

3. I am allergic to most kinds of eye make up. My eyelids basically melt off whenever I put something new on my eyes.

4. My bedroom door is labeled. With my name. In like four inch high pink and black letters. It is kind of like I am in Jr. High all over again. :)

5. Bangle-y bracelets are my very most favorite kind of jewelry. I like the way they sound. It makes me feel important.

6. Whenever I feel sad or upset or lonely, I shop. I feel less alone with all those people, and the smell of new clothes. :)

I tag:
1. Laurs
2. Skate
3. Juicy Josie
4. Emily
5. Kari
6. And anyone else who wants to do it. :)

First Grade Besties!

This is Tawny. She is one of my very best besties. We have known eachother since first grade. I don't remember her from first grade, but boy howdy, does she remember me! :)
(I was snotty in first grade. It was kind of hard to not remember me. :))
This is my bestie Tawny and my new friend Roger. They are kind of presh-sauces!
This is my friend Shaun. He was talking about the goggles he has to wear in his biology lab. He only has six classes until he graduates! What a guy!

Aren't we kind of precious? I thought we were.

Spontaneity is the Shizzzzzle!

Em and I both got our shifts denied at work so we decided that we were going to have a sad time being denied together. :)

Em was supposed to be working until noon in a different place and then we were going to meet up for lunch, but alas, she got to leave work early! YAY! She came over to the house and we had a lovely chat while I finished getting ready. (Didn't you hear, I don't wake up before 11:00 anymore.) After that we decided that we were going to go to lunch at the Training Table. We got up close to it and made a last minute decision to switch it up and go to the Olive Garden instead. Yummmmmmmmmmm delish!

We then decided to go see our dear friend Jen at her job at This Is The Place. We drove in and saw a huge empty parking lot right in front of the building Jen was working in. We went right in without really realizing that we needed to make a payment before we could go in. Ooops! Jen is a wonderful pioneer! She is a fountain of knowledge. Funny story: her job title there is Historical Interpreter. Wicked! She interprets everywhere she goes.

This is the house we were in. It was one of Brigham Young's wives' home. The wife that lived here had to take care of the ranch. I would have prefered to stay downtown in the Beehive house. :) I do love that the house is pink though! Woot!

This is me and Em in front of the house. My face looks ridiculously slanty.

After we were done at This Is The Place, it was only like 12:45ish and we weren't quite sure what we should do with the rest of our day. We looked at eachother and on the spot decided that the zoo was the place for us. :) So we went.
First things first. We had to ride the train. It was a very fun time and we rode in car 63...1863.

This is the train in front of us. We sat almost all the way at the back.

This is me and Em on the train. We are ever so presh if I do say so myself.

Shut up Chip! Or I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey!

These are real live spider monkeys. It's a good thing they didn't come after me.

They were feeding the animals in the small animal house. (I don't know what it's called. It's where they keep all the snakes and turtles and stuff.) GROSS! They feed the snakes other animals. GROSS! I know that snakes eat other things in the wild but I just assumed that when they were in a zoo, they would be nice and humane and feed them other things. They don't. Sick. I watched a snake swallow a whole mouse. I am traumatized. TRAUMATIZED!

You can't see it super well, but that is a snake with a mouse half way in it's mouth. GROSS! Oh the trauma! It was like one of those things that you can't watch but you can't look away from it either. TRAUMATIZED!

These are bigger snakes. Those white things in there are rabbits. RABBITS! Gross! I am super glad I didn't have to see one of them eating one. I might have died.

This picture is a teensy bit less traumatizing. Em likes the turtles. Turtles don't eat mice or rabbits. They are lovely herbivores. I like them too.

This is Opie the Orangutan. His real name is Muke I think but I prefer to call him Opie. Or Opes. He was totally flirting with me. Until he walked away. Typical guy.

We also met Corey and Cora the camels. They were presh. Lame happy people in love.

We were headed out when we realized we had missed one crucial animal! We almost missed the Ghost of the Bayou! Oh snap! That would have been the worst time ever! Good news however, we didn't miss it. We saw it. :)

Here she is. I'm actually not sure if it is a boy or girl. But there it is. With blue eyes. Presh!

Well all in all, our day of spontaneity was a grand old time! We're best friends!

Stick That In Your Juicebox!

Yesterday, one of my BFF's and I went to P-town the best town, to play with some of her BFF's and to see a hockey game.

I'm not sure if anyone really knows this, but I am an avid sports fan. No not the kind that follows all the stats of the players or has a favorite team. I am the kind that will scream their head off at a game, for either team, just for a little entertainment.

The hockey game we went to yesterday was a community league game. The teams were called Guys and Dolls and Disney on Ice. (P.S. The Guys and Dolls team had girls on the team! I don't know if you get more hard core than that.) I didn't know anyone playing. I was there as a friend of a friend of a friend and we were cheering for Disney on Ice. I knew like three of the players' names, so you better believe I was yelling for them. :)

It was a super fun time, and our team totally won! WOOT!

This is Kristen. I have only known her for one day but I heart her. A lot.

This is Kari and me and Emily and the baby dog Marley. Emily is another one I heart already. A lot. :)

Karizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! We are the greatest. The end.

What A Performance!

My BFF Em is a person of many, many, many, many, MANY talents. I like to tag along when she is displaying those talents, just hoping that some of it will rub off on me. The latest talent adventure is that Emily played the flute in the orchestra for the Herriman Community Theater's production of Rodger's and Hammerstein's "The Sound Of Music".

We didn't get many pictures, but the one we did get was great of course. :)

Props to Em! She did a fabulous job!

Josh Gracin, Joe Nichols, and A Whole Lot of Lovin'

My loverly froomie (adapted from L. Johnson 2006) Amber won tickets to the Josh Gracin, Joe Nichols, and some other guy concert. We had a blast! Here are most of the highlights.
We are the cutest froommates (L. Johnson 2006) you have ever met!
This is my friend Derrick. He's awesome.
I was this close to this sign. No zoom needed. I was freaking touching the stage!
The man. Joe Nichols. I touched him. I haven't washed my hands since. (That is so gross, I totally have.)
Josh Gracin is one good lookin' fellow!
All in all it was a pretty great time. Congrats to lame UVSC for becoming UVU. Mostly congrats to me because I got to go to this concert and touch Joe Nichols. Woot!

Hottizzle Fo Shizzle!

Last night I went to dinner with a couple of my BFF's, Kari and Erica, for some much needed TLC. (That's right. I said it. We could all use a little tender lovin' care. If you need some call me up, we'll go to dinner. :)) After dinner we decided a fun jaunt down the Gateway mall might be a fun time.

There is a Mac store in the gateway mall. This is the result of going into Mac store.

You wish you were with us. You know it.

Random Surprising Facts:
1) I write everything down in my planner. When I am "penciling you in" don't be offended. It's not that I have to add you to my busy life it's just that I lead a pretty chaotic life and unless I write it down, it isn't going to get done. :)
